A Site-Specific Performance
Performative Walk
On March 22nd, we were invited to lead a performative walk following the screening of the documentary Little Amal, a documentary film about a Syrian refugee kid. Our piece aimed to delve into the film's key themes, reflecting on the experience of migration and the complex nature of citizenship. The performance took place in Nørrebro, one of Copenhagen's most multicultural neighborhoods. Our performative walk was an attempt to re-dramatize the urban landscape, a landscape that conceals myriad faces, skins, and the subtle sounds of breath—the essence of its diverse inhabitants.
