Accessible Communication Guide
For better communication, especially if we are exchanging papers, scripts, or other written materials, I kindly invite you to keep the following accessibility guidelines in mind.
Please note that Impact, Garamond and Brush Script, as well as a wide range of decorative fonts, are completely inaccessible to me (Verdana is a good alternative).
Most importantly, if a playtext is set in Courier, please reformat the text before sending it to me or provide an editable version of the file so I can adjust it myself.
Text in all caps is also inaccessible to me. If the text you are sending is not editable, please kindly keep this in mind. This also applies to character names, stage directions and other text in playtexts.
For longer term communication, I also appreciate the following being kept in mind, as they help me navigate materials more easily and be more responsive:
- Simple layouts without visual clutter
- Limited use of bullet points and decorative elements
- Line spacing of 1.5 or above
