Site-specific Performance
Relingo
The audience meets a stranger in an alley, receives a key, and is left alone until the end. A key to a literal nowhere: a relingo.
Relingo is an invisible performance for a single spect-actor. Exploring the possibilities of relingos, vacant lots embedded within the urban fabric, it simultaneously attempts to turn participants into excavators of the city's past and architects of its future. By sheltering them in invisibility, it offers participants a utopian timeframe in which the order of their heavily policed city can be overturned.
The project was presented at the 21st Tajrobeh Theatre Festival on Azadi Street in Tehran.
